RANDOM WORD LAB

Privacy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what happens when you use Random Word Lab at randomwordlab.com. Random Word Lab operates the site. For privacy questions or requests, email info@randomwordlab.com.

Generator inputs and results

Some generators run entirely in your browser, including passwords, random numbers, custom lists, Word Search, and Crossword. Text and names you enter into those tools are processed on your device. Names you paste into the Random Name Generator also stay in your browser.

Generators that draw from our built-in collections request results from our generation service on Cloudflare. The request includes the selected tool and settings, such as count, word type, length, or letter filters. If you use the synonym or anagram tool, the word or letters you enter are sent to that service to find matches. A built-in name draw sends its settings, but a draw from names you paste is handled locally. The service returns the generated result to your browser. Our application does not save generator requests or results in a database, and it does not send generator inputs or results to Google Analytics. Cloudflare may process technical and operational information about requests as described below and in its own privacy notice.

If you use your browser's download, copy, or print functions, the resulting file, clipboard content, or printout is handled by your device.

Website delivery and security

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site and runs the generation service. When you visit or request a generated result, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as your IP address, requested URL, time of request, and browser or device details to deliver the service, prevent abuse, and maintain security. Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website and providing the tool you request. We do not maintain a separate database of visitor accounts or generator submissions. Cloudflare may keep operational and security records under its applicable service terms and privacy policy.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages visitors use and improve the tools. GA4 is optional: its tag loads only after you choose Accept analytics. If you choose Reject analytics, no GA4 tag is loaded and no analytics data is sent to Google by this site. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Privacy settings control in the site footer. The choice itself is saved in your browser so the site can remember it; you can also clear it by deleting this site's browser data.

After consent, GA4 may receive the pages you view, basic interactions, browser and device information, and approximate location. It uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id> to distinguish visits; Google's default expiration for those cookies is two years, although browsers may shorten it. We set user-level and event-level GA4 data retention to two months. This setting does not remove previously aggregated reports. Analytics is used on the legal basis of your consent. No advertising or ad-personalization features are used in this ad-free release. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services and see Google's Privacy Policy.

Email

If you email info@randomwordlab.com, we receive the address you send from, any details you include, and the message itself. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message to a Gmail mailbox operated by Google. We use it to answer and manage your request, based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle the conversation and related obligations, then delete it when no longer necessary. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a routine message.

Sharing and international processing

We use Cloudflare for hosting, security, and email routing, and Google for the Gmail inbox and consented analytics. We do not sell personal information. These providers operate internationally and may process data outside Slovakia or the European Economic Area. Their privacy notices and data-processing terms describe their locations and the safeguards they apply to international transfers. Contact us if you want more information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

Your choices and rights

You can use every generator without accepting analytics. Where the GDPR applies, you may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal data, and you may object to processing or request portability where those rights apply. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. Send requests to info@randomwordlab.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority, including the Personal Data Protection Office of the Slovak Republic.

Changes

We will update this page when our tools, providers, or data practices change and show the new date above.
